Mexico national team manager Javier Aguirre has previously tipped Armando Gonzalez to make a big-money move to Europe.
Gonzalez is highly-rated in his homeland and Celtic have been linked with signing ‘La Hormiga’.
He has already rejected a transfer to CSKA Moscow due to wanting a different type of project but Aguirre thinks he is destined to play on the big stage.

Barcelona and West Ham United have been linked, as well as Celtic, for the 22-year-old and a transfer bidding war could commence in the summer.
Aguirre will hope to have him in his squad for the World Cup and in November 2025, he claimed that a move to bigger things is inevitable.
He told Fox Sports: ” I believe this young man will soon be flying to other latitudes. I hope so, for the good of us Mexicans. Because, as I say, he is proudly Mexican: he has that spark.”
As well as that, Aguirre also compared the forward to legendary striker Javier Hernandez.
“There are parallels in their careers… they have the gift of the goal. To Javier [Hernandez], you gave him 15 minutes and he scores…”, he told Mediotiempo.
“This boy, Armandito, has that too. The other day, the ball hits the post, there were eight players there, and it falls to him. You either have that or you don’t.”

One bargaining chip that Celtic can use is right-back Julian Araujo.
The right-back has had a foot in the Barcelona and Celtic camps and will know that the forward would be a guaranteed starter at Parkhead.
