Adam Idah has his feet comfortably under the table at Celtic now.
The 24-year-old joined Celtic on a permanent basis last summer, after his successful loan spell the season before, including scoring the winning goal against Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.
It’s fair to say that Idah has divided opinion in his first full season in Glasgow, despite helping Celtic win two trophies under Brendan Rodgers.
The striker department has taken a few twists and turns during these past 12 months, and the same might happen again next season.
Kyogo Furuhashi was leading the line when the first ball was kicked during the 2024/25 season, but then he left in January, and Daizen Maeda went goal crazy as the central striker.
Throughout the time, Idah has been in and out of the XI, but will that change next season?

Adam Idah notes what Celtic will do in the summer transfer market
Celtic are yet to replace Kyogo, so it’s going to be interesting to see what the powers that be do in these coming weeks and months, especially given how well Maeda has performed up top.
But Idah is pretty confident that Celtic will ‘sign a striker’ during the summer transfer market, although that extra competition doesn’t faze him.
The Republic of Ireland international, speaking on national duty, name-checked Kyogo and how he has had ‘brilliant strikers’ ahead of him before.
Reporter asks: “There is a lot of talk about the club signing a new striker. Are you confident that you can continue to be an important member of the squad and get plenty of minutes?”
Idah responded: “Yeah, 100%. I have had brilliant strikers, like Kyogo before, so it doesn’t bother me. I know myself.
“The club probably are going to sign a striker, so it makes no difference to me. I am still going to do my best for the team, and hopefully, have another good season.”
Idah’s record since joining Celtic
Idah’s situation at Celtic is interesting because, on the one hand, he was brought in for big money, and that stick has been used to beat him on occasions.
But, on the other hand, he isn’t a regular starter, and that’s probably a gripe of his because he needs that consistency and rhythm.
The issue with that is you are playing for a pressure cooker of a club like Celtic, and there isn’t much room to breathe, but come next season, you sense the pressure will ramp up on Idah.
