Celtic forward Albian Ajeti finally looks set to depart the club permanently in the coming days, according to a report.
The Swiss forward has been heavily linked with Turkish top-flight outfit Gaziantep and it seems like a deal is close with Ajeti set to have in-person talks on Wednesday.
Local outlet Gaziantep Gunes say that the Super Lig side are interested in the striker who joined Celtic on a four-year deal back in August 2020.
They say that negotiations are continuing and Ajeti is expected to arrive in the city of Gaziantep on Wednesday so long as there are no problems between now and then.
Gaziantep is around 3,000 miles from Glasgow so we can assume that a deal is close if Ajeti does make the trip over.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan in Austria with Sturm Graz. He returned to Scotland in the summer but hasn’t been seen at all since Brendan Rodgers arrived back at the club.

Ajeti moving on is hardly a surprise. While the Turkish report doesn’t confirm that it is a permanent deal, you have to imagine that would be what Celtic are pushing for, given that his contract has less than 12 months to run.
Struggling Gaziantep sit bottom of the Super Lig at present having lost their first three matches of the season including a 2-0 defeat at Konyaspor on Friday night.

Like many Turkish sides they do have a couple of relatively familiar names. Former Liverpool man Lazar Markovic and ex-Leeds attacker Max Gradel are both on their books.
It seems very much like Ajeti will be joining them in the coming days.
