Nobody is going to dispute that it has been a transfer window to forget for Celtic.
But amid the negative noise around who Celtic have signed this summer, the supporters have only heard one voice on this matter, and that’s the manager, Brendan Rodgers.
It has been pretty obvious that Rodgers has been dealt a bad hand; forget about what has or hasn’t happened in the prior months, transfer deadline day itself summed it all up, because it was a mess.
But Andy Walker hasn’t taken too kindly to what the Celtic manager has had to say about those in charge.

Andy Walker slams Brendan Rodgers over comments about the Celtic board
Every Celtic supporter would love to be a fly on the wall just to see what is really said behind the scenes by those in charge, and by Rodgers himself.
But Rodgers stating that, the board members ‘bleed for the club’, was dubbed as ‘utter nonsense’ by Walker on Go Radio.
The former striker didn’t mince his words, and he laid into those in charge by telling them he ‘can’t believe’ players weren’t brought in, and he thought it would be a typical last-minute dash.
“I didn’t understand Brendan Rodgers at his press conference last week,” said Walker.
“When he spoke about the board, and just in general, ‘there is this disconnect, and nothing can be further from the truth. This is a board that bleeds for the club.’ I mean, utter nonsense!
“I can’t believe they haven’t got signings in. I thought they would have done what they have done in previous years, and just done their business at the very last minute.
“I can understand the difficulty within that. There is absolutely no excuse for anyone who has come in; they weren’t brought in earlier to try and give them a better chance of winning that Champions League qualifier.”
No Celtic supporters have a positive thing to say about the Celtic board
Before Celtic’s Champions League exit, the supporters were divided about what was going on, but it’s fair to say that all of it has now changed on its head.
Never have the Celtic supporters been in sync with their dissatisfaction at the lack of action, and Walker shared how every fan he has spoken to has reacted to the matter.
“I will go back to that word again, every Celtic supporter you speak to, completely bewildered,” said Walker.
“I don’t know how the supporters will react (in the coming matches). But I haven’t heard any supporter who has got anything positive to say about the running of the club, at the moment.”
