Ange Postecoglou says Celtic will remain ‘active’ in the transfer window and predicts there will be incomings and outgoings over the next few weeks.

Postecoglou has already added Alexandro Bernabei, Ben Siegrist, Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz to his squad, as well as making Cameron Carter-Vickers’ and Jota’s stays permanent.

However, there are still five or six weeks until the window shuts, meaning Celtic have plenty of time to conclude deals on the right players if they become available.

Speaking to Sky Sports this afternoon, the Celtic boss said: “It’s fair to say we’ll still be active. Whether we get deals done, we’ll see. It has to be the right ones.

“We’ll still be active. We expect some comings and goings, I assume, over the next two or three weeks while the window is open.

“Without putting any certainty around it, I’d say we’ll still be alert and ready to go if the right solution comes.”

Clearly, nothing is imminent. Postecoglou usually signals when something is in the immediate offing when asked.

For instance, he confirmed the club were looking to finalise two deals a few days before the Mooy and Jenz announcements were made.

However, it’s also clear that Celtic remain interested in players.

Reports this summer have suggested that signing another attacker is a priority for the Bhoys, having already strengthened the defensive and midfield positions.
