Ange Postecoglou has revealed there has been progress on transfer deals in and out at Celtic. The Bhoys boss expects news on both fronts in the next few days.

The club have been linked with a number of strikers during the January transfer window while Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic have been the most consistent names popping up in the press with regards to an exit.

Now it seems a few issues are set to come to a head, with the manager providing an update in his media conference today.

Postecoglou said: “There’s been progress on incomings and outgoings, but nothing confirmed yet. We’re obviously getting to the tail end of the window, I expect progress over the next few days.”

Asked specifically about Giakoumakis he said: “Until I hear otherwise I expect them all to be Celtic players but there’s been progress with all those kinds of issues and over the next few days we’ll see how it all pans out.”

The manager was questioned about specific transfer reports but wasn’t in the mood to comment directly on any of the names doing the rounds this week.

Speculation about transfers has been as feverish as ever this month but it seems we’re about to get some clarity on all of it. Postecoglou rarely comments on transfers unless he’s confident business is about to be done.

The Celtic squad is set to look very strong coming out of January regardless, with the club already completing a number of deals.

A big few days of news is now expected!

In other news, Giorgos Giakoumakis returns to Celtic training.
