When Kris Boyd starts to talk sense about Celtic, then you start to worry.
The former Rangers man has watched Celtic dominate Scottish football for over a decade now and is witnessing Brendan Rodgers work his magic again.
One of the reasons why the Bhoys are cleaning house is because of their transfer recruitment, not just under Rodgers, but when Ange Postecoglou was in the dugout also.
With the January transfer window open for service again, Celtic are in a very healthy position because they hold a 13-point lead at the top of the Premiership table as they aim to further strengthen their squad.
Talk of Kieran Tierney returning has dominated the Celtic headlines and Kris Boyd had some interesting thoughts to say on it all, especially with Greg Taylor being the starting left-back.
Kris Boyd says Celtic fans ‘so happy’ Kieran Tierney might return
Tierney has only played once for Arsenal this season after returning from a six-month hamstring injury last month.
The 27-year-old is expected to leave the Emirates and he needs those regular starts to get his career back on track.
Boyd described the boyhood Celtic fan as an ‘iconic figure’ and how the supporters are ‘so happy’ at the prospect of him coming back, as he told the Warm-Up.

“Football fans are football fans, that’s just what happens,” responded Boyd on Celtic fans singing Tierney’s name during the win over St Mirren.
“Kieran Tierney is an iconic figure at Celtic football club. He has come through the ranks. Moved on, at that time, the highest transfer record leaving Scotland. He was Mr Celtic. With an opportunity to bring him back, Celtic fans are rightly so happy and they are excited by the prospect of that.
“But Brendan Rodgers has got a team to look after and his players to look after. Kieran Tierney isn’t a Celtic player. They might have spoken and there might be something in the pipeline. But, as it stands right now, he isn’t a Celtic player. So, he has to look after his own.”
Boyd unhappy with Greg Taylor’s treatment at Celtic
There will be some who argue that if Tierney is fit and ready, then he is the starting left-back under Rodgers, even though Taylor is well-liked by Rodgers.
Taylor seems to be dividing opinion with Celtic fans and Boyd came to the defence of the soon-to-be out-of-contract star.
The former striker warned that people won’t realise Taylor’s importance to the club until after he heads for the exit door.
“For whatever reason, I think Greg Taylor has fallen out of that bracket of another Scottish player moving and it’s not until they move on that you realise what he has given to the football club,” added Boyd.
“I think it’s easy to look because you have been winning things. You don’t look at the performances and you just look at this is another team we have absolutely battered.
“You think back to that moment at Aberdeen. When he came onto the pitch, the difference he made. I have said it before. He was a centre midfielder as a kid. It’s not alien to him to go into that area, get on the turn and play passes forward. If that’s all Celtic fans have to moan about is a backwards pass, wow!”
