Celtic defender, Gustaf Lagerbielke, has opened up on his future at the club and left the clearest hint yet as to where he sees himself playing his football.
Lagerbielke signed for Celtic at the start of Brendan Rodgers’ second tenure but has struggled to make an impact at the club.
Celtic loaned Lagerbielke to FC Twente in the January window and the Dutch club are keen to take the Hoops defender on board permanently.
But how does the Swedish defender feel about his long-term future? Is it at Celtic, FC Twente or somewhere completely different?

Gustaf Lagerbielke hints at a future away from Celtic
Currently on international duty with Sweden, Lagerbielke was speaking to the Swedish media when he was asked if he is likely to leave Celtic in the future.
Lagerbielke told Fotbollskanalen, “I have learnt from being abroad. You don’t have so much say in everything. I just focus on the next game, even if it sounds cliché.
“Then the negotiators will have to sort it out. If I have something to say about it, I’ll give my view on it later.
“There are big forces at work, so I have to focus on football.”
Gustaf Lagerbielke admits there has been lack of contact by Celtic
Having spent almost three months in the Eredivisie, the on-loan Celtic defender says the Parkhead club haven’t made any contact as he tells journalists where he ‘definitely’ sees his future.
Lagerbielke continued, “Not much, actually. I’m in contact with some players, but not more than that.
“I want to play and I feel very good in Holland, so I can definitely imagine a future there.
“It’s just for me to show in training that I want to be here and then hope I get playing time.”
The 24-year-old has made 27 appearances for FC Twente scoring two goals in the process including a bulleted winner in the Europa League against Malmo.
Clearly a mainstay in the Dutch side, Lagerbielke may well find that a permanent move away from Celtic will benefit him now that he has found his way back into the national side.
