Celtic fans are making their feelings clear in the stands and outside of the stadium after the club delivered yet another very poor transfer window.
Targets weren’t met, and even when signings did arrive, it’s pretty clear that it’s all short-term thinking, which once again, doesn’t help anyone’s cause.
Brendan Rodgers has had to field a lot of questions on this and he was asked ‘if he feels let down by the Celtic board’ after a failed January transfer window.
The Celtic boss made it clear that he ‘doesn’t feel that at all’ and it’s something he would ‘never’ do, even though ‘fingers are being pointed’, as he told BBC Radio Scotland.
Chris Sutton made it clear that it’s a ‘collective blame’ after he shared how the club were in need of another left-back for a ‘very long time’.
In the end, the powers that be weren’t able to conclude any deals for a left-sided player, even though Greg Taylor was injured and there was hope around Liverpool’s rising youngster, Owen Beck.
The mood around Parkhead isn’t going to improve any time soon, unless the team puts up win after win after win, and even then they are struggling with that, at this moment in time.
Brendan Rodgers and the Celtic board
Reporter: “You mention the board there, do you feel let down in any way, by the board, in the kind of guys you are looking to bring in? Some of the fans might be thinking there is a lack of ambition, particularly when it’s such a tight title race, at the moment.”
Rodgers responded: “No, I don’t feel that at all. I would never do that. I know there are fingers pointed and people will try to blame.
“But it’s not that at all. It’s just a view that I have, in terms of how we can develop going forward. It’s something that the guys on the board have given me great support, Dermot (Desmond), in particular, to bring me back. It’s a privilege to be at this club.
“What I want is the best for Celtic and I don’t want to be continually stood still and winning things domestically, which is great. But we want to do that and make an impact in Europe, so that’s what will, hopefully, happen during my time here.”

Celtic travel to Hibernian
The dropped points at the weekend to managerless Aberdeen was unacceptable, especially the second-half performance.
There is a title race on and every time an opposition team decides to turn the heat up during a game, the players seem to buckle and struggle to fight.
The mood amongst the fans isn’t great as it is and something needs to change pronto, regardless of what has happened in the transfer window or not.
Hibs aren’t exactly in great form themselves, and they did beat the Bhoys in the reverse fixture, any more of that, then Rodgers will seriously start to feel the heat, if he isn’t already.
