Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has addressed rumours that Franko Kovacevic is on the club’s transfer list.
O’Neill has admitted on numerous occasions that Celtic require strengthening and it seems that Kovacevic is attracting interest from the Hoops boss.

How much would you pay for Franko Kovacevic?
With O’Neill admitting he’s ‘discarded’ a number of Celtic targets, is Kovacevic one that interests the Hoops boss?

Celtic boss Martin O’Neill has ‘looked’ at Franko Kovacevic
After Celtic beat Falkirk, O’Neill took in his usual questions and one was asked about the Hoops’ reported interest in the Celje striker.
O’Neill said in his post-match press conference, “I think that I would have [looked at Kovacevic]. I’ve only looked at about four and a half thousand at this minute, and that’s not bad since I’m only in a week.
“So, yeah, you can tell either way we need to get a centre-forward.
“I mean, for instance, young Johnny Kenny has done really fine in the games, but I think that’s really harsh to put that sort of pressure on a young lad.
“He’s only just arrived at the football club, you know. So, we’re looking for for help.
“I’m not diverting to your thing, I’m just not answering you.”
Franko Kovacevic’s goal stats make him perfect for Celtic
Kovacevic is on fire this season for Celje scoring 25 goals in 28 appearances for Celje.
The 26-year-old scored an impressive hat-trick in the Europa Conference League against AEK Athens earlier this season.
You can watch him in action below:
In 199 career appearances, Kovacevic has scored 57 goals but it appears that he is in a real purple patch of form that Celtic could really do with right now.
