Celtic need to sign a new left-back this summer.
The impending exit of PAOK-linked Greg Taylor means Kieran Tierney will be the only Hoops senior left-back in the squad.
The Bhoys have been linked with several wingers early in the transfer window, most prominently FC Nordsjælland star Benjamin Nygren.
But Josh Doig is the only left-back Celtic seem to be exploring at the moment, as exclusively revealed earlier this week by 67 Hail Hail.
Meanwhile, a former Celtic youth left-back has now been identified as a target for La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson targeted by Atletico Madrid
Yes, you guessed it. Liverpool star and Scotland captain Andy Robertson may well be moving to Spain this summer, just like Tierney in 2023.
However, Tierney left Arsenal on loan to Real Sociedad, whereas it appears Atletico want to sign Robertson from the Premier League holders permanently.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Robertson has been ‘appreciated internally as an ideal candidate’ for the side managed by Diego Simeone.
The transfer guru states, however, that it will not be an easy deal to strike because Liverpool still value Robertson highly.
Robertson is said to be above AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez on the club’s left-back transfer shortlist, as Liverpool eye Milos Kerkez as the former Celtic kid’s long term successor.
Robertson is a self-confessed Celtic fan
Robertson is contracted at Liverpool until 2026, so it may not take much for the Anfield side to part ways with the Scotland skipper.
He was on the books at Celtic as a kid but was released by Chris McCart aged 15 for being too small.
But he remains a Bhoy despite what happened to him, he’d still love to pull on the jersey and play for Celtic.
He said in 2021: “I would love to play for Celtic. When I was a young boy growing up I used to say I’d give my best years to Celtic so I don’t want to go there when I’m old and maybe can’t move as much.
“The time will come to make that decision but I have a good length of time left on my Liverpool contract. I hope to stay and retire at the club and if I keep going and I feel fit and healthy I’d love to do that.
“But if not I’d look at options and I’d love to pull on the Celtic shirt, of course I would. But I don’t want to be an old fart when I go there. I want to still be able to play well. I don’t want my mates hating on me!”
