Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has plenty of scouring the market to be getting on with alongside preparing his side for a loaded fixture run.
Traditionally, outgoings from Parkhead help clear space for January arrivals. The club appear to have tapped into this philosophy, with Stephen Welsh and Lenny Agbaire leaving on loan from KV Mechelen and Ayr United.
Alexandro Bernabei and Odin Thiago Holm are also set to leave Celtic. However, supporters will be most concerned with the type of statement additions the Hoops’ manager is eyeing to further his side’s prospects both domestically and in Europe.
Most notably, Kieran Tierney could return to the Scottish Premiership champions on a pre-contract agreement. It remains to be seen if a loan deal can be struck should everything go to plan.

Quality over quantity for Celtic has to be the mantra. While work continues in the background, could they be about to shatter their transfer record?
Celtic revive interest in Lazio winger Gustav Isaksen
According to Il Massaggero, Celtic are once again in the frame for Lazio winger Gustav Isaksen, and Bologna are another club who are admirers of the Denmark international.
Sticking to their guns, the Serie A outfit are demanding a sizeable €15 million (£12.5 million) fee for the 23-year-old, who has registered six goal contributions in 24 matches this term.
Last summer, Celtic enquired about Isaksen and were swiftly rebuffed by Lazio just a year after his £10 million move from FC Midtjylland.
Intermediaries have already had involvement amid initial interest. On the same token, his current club are aware his departure could free up space for arrivals should they be able to recoup a fee they can direct towards opening up new ‘scenarios’ on the market.
Like many sides around Europe, cash isn’t free-flowing at this time of year, meaning trade may be used as a vehicle to raise funds for business to be conducted.
Celtic have the money to make another statement signing
There are little questions surrounding Celtic’s rude financial health. Their latest accounts show the club retain a whopping £77.2 million worth of cash in the bank.
Underlining their financial capability, there is a chance Rodgers could be handed a significant wedge to introduce new arrivals to the Bhoys’ talented first-team squad.
As depth has been stretched during the festive period and beyond, the need for Celtic to bring in a wide player is evident, especially if further injuries or departures occur during the window.
Isaksen is one of many that will be mentioned this month. Hopefully, there can be movement on that front before too long.
