Celtic are in desperate need of new wingers.

Thankfully, Belgian star Michel-Ange Balikwisha is on his way to the Hoops from Royal Antwerp for a fee reported to be £5m.

But the Hoops need two wide men as they seek to replace the sold Nicolas Kuhn and the injured Jota, who may not be seen again until 2026.

Jakob Breum and Calvin Stengs have been targeted by Celtic, but there doesn’t appear to be too much progress on those fronts.

Now, it has been revealed the Bhoys are looking to sign Sebastian Tounekti from Hammarby.

Celtic told to cough up €6m for Tounetki

According to Swedish outlet Expressen, Celtic have made a €3m transfer offer to Hammarby for their Tunisian international winger Tounekti.

The two clubs are said to be negotiating a fee, but nothing as of yet has been agreed or signed. It is being reported that Hammarby want closer to €6m for the 23-year-old.

Celtic have a recent history over trying to lowball transfer deals, which is clearly a strategy of the the club’s board.

Go Ahead Eagles rejected two offers from Celtic for Breum, while it was a similar situation for the likes of David Strelec and Sondre Ørjasæter.

Who is Sebastian Tounetki?

Primarily a left winger, Tounetki was born in Norway but has chosen to represent Tunisia thanks to his father hailing from the African country.

He began his career at Tromsdalen UIL before earning a move to Bodø/Glimt in 2020. However, he only managed to score two goals in 21 games.

After an unsuccessful loan spell in the Netherlands with Groningen, Tounetki found some form with FK Haugesund. After four goals scored in 47 appearances there, Hammarby signed him this year.

So far across the 2025 Allsvenskan season, Tounetki has scored two and assisted five in 20 games.
