Celtic have been boosted in their pursuit of January transfer target Siriki Dembele.
Brother of Karamoko, the Peterborough United player has handed in a transfer request, according to reports.
Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph posted to social media earlier tonight, relaying the information.
Peterborough forward Siriki Dembele has handed in a transfer request.
Last month, Peterborough’s director of football Barry Fry said Dembele, 24, was being monitored by Rangers, Newcastle and the Scotland national team.
Siriki is the brother of Celtic teenager Karamoko Dembele.

After an impressive start to the English League One season, the attacker was linked with a move to Celtic back in November.
The 24-year-old has scored five goals and assisted five more in 17 league appearances this term [Transfermarkt].
Dembele primarily plays through the middle of the Posh attack but can play on the left-wing too.
Peterborough United don’t sound happy
The League One side aren’t the easiest to deal with, as Celtic have found out on multiple occasions.
They don’t sound happy with this latest development either.
Outspoken club owner Darragh MacAnthony told Peterborough Today: “I woke up to the transfer request from Siriki today. We received it over the weekend, and we weren’t expecting it.
“His agent will be behind this. It’s what they do, but I have no idea why players go along with it.
“Every player in League One is for sale, but only at the right price. Siriki won’t be going anywhere unless we receive an acceptable offer.”
Transfermarkt lists Dembele’s contract as expiring in 2021, so how much control MacAnthony and Posh have over the situation is unclear.
Theoretically, the striker could sign a pre-contract with any interested party, putting a buying club in pole position to land a bargain.
One to watch over January as Celtic look for the perfect transfer.
