A number of Scottish players are making a name for themselves in Italy, none more than Napoli’s title-winner, Scott McTominay.
When you look at Celtic’s squad, it’s not filled with Scottish players, although the club have captain Callum McGregor bossing proceedings, as well as boyhood fan, Luke McCowan, signing from Dundee last summer.
Added to that, Kieran Tierney will return for next season, but another Scotsman, Greg Taylor, is expected to head towards the other direction.
Either way, a lot of the Scottish players, who are thriving, are doing so outside of the walls of their home country, including players like boyhood Celtic fans John McGinn and Andy Robertson in the English Premier League.
But come the re-opening of the summer transfer window, could the champions of Scotland add another domestic player to their ranks? Or will he head abroad?

Lennon Miller won’t join Celtic
Lennon Miller had an outstanding season for Motherwell, including winning the PFA’s Young Player of the Year award.
That has attracted a lot of attention, including Celtic being keen on Miller’s talents, as the teenager is expected to leave Fir Park.
But speaking on Open Goal, Andy Halliday, his club teammate, and former Scotland star James McFadden, can see him taking the route of McTominay and heading to Italy instead.
“Does a Lennon Miller then come into that?” asked Derek Ferguson about Celtic needing to strengthen in the summer.
Si Ferry asked: “Do you think he is good enough to play for Celtic next year every week?”
Halliday responded: “I think he is, but I think he is a certain to go abroad. I think he looks it. I think he looks at Lewis (Ferguson), Billy (Gilmour) and Scott McTominay. Seeing what they are doing abroad.”
McFadden added: “His biggest thing is that he wants to play football. Go away and develop. But go somewhere where he is going to play every single week.”
The stumbling block for Celtic as Scott McTominay is taking Napoli by storm
Would Miller start for Celtic? Well, he wouldn’t get ahead of McGregor or Reo Hatate, but the issue here is nobody knows if the latter will still be at the club next season.
Added to that, Arne Engels has divided opinion, so the club needs to add some extra legs to the middle of the park, and that’s where Miller comes into it.
But if you are Miller, and you are watching McTominay become a hero in Naples, including guiding them to the Serie A title under Antonio Conte, and a team from Italy comes knocking, then you would be tempted to go down that road.
