Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Benjamin Nygren will join Celtic.

Romano confirmed the pending arrival with his trademark ‘Here we go’ statement, revealing that Brendan Rodgers will land a key target for a bargain price of £1.2m.

Nygren will be contracted until 2029 and could well be one of the bargains of the summer in a great bit of business for the Bhoys.

Celtic have had great success in the market for Japanese players and it seems like they’re looking for even more success there.

Reports claimed that the Hoops watched Shin Yamada during his Asian Champions League tie for Kawasaki Frontale.

Yamada has only scored two goals in 18 J League appearances this season but the 25-year-old is rated highly.

He also used to play with Reo Hatate at Frontale and could be convinced to reunite with him once again.

Lennon Miller’s dad tips him for move abroad

Lennon Miller links to Celtic won’t go away but after his father’s recent comments, it suggests that a move overseas is more likely to happen.

Miller spent time with Scott McTominay while on Scotland duty and his father Lee, who also played for the national team believes that he will want to follow in the footsteps of his international teammates who have tried their hand abroad.

He said: “His preferable choice would be abroad.

“He’s not just going to go to a club for the sake of it. It needs to have the right environment, it needs to have the right manager, the right club.

“Lennon’s not bothered with the money side of things, that’ll come. Obviously it’s a short career and you need to earn money.

“But he wants to go and progress his career and then kick on again.”
