Celtic are looking to recruit all across the pitch despite being active in the transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have made five signings this summer but won’t be stopping there.
According to The Herald, Celtic are considering a move for Famalicao defender Justin de Haas.
The 25-year-old was a regular for the Portuguese top flight outfit last season, scoring two goals.
Rodgers is determined to find a partner for Cameron Carter-Vickers and all the data seems to suggest that he could be a perfect option.

Justin de Haas ranks among the best defenders in Portugal’s top flight
We all know that Rodgers likes his centre-backs to play on the side of their favoured foot and De Haas would be able to comfortably slot in on the left-hand side of the pairing next to Carter-Vickers.
In a series of data-recorded stats from Ross Stewart on X, it also showed that the defender was among the top 10 per cent of players in Portugal’s top flight for interceptions.
Additionally, De Haas also scored highly in defensive duels and in progressive passing – something the Celtic manager wants his players to excel in.
Liam Scales has been criticised for his lack of composure on the ball ever since he joined the Hoops and to find someone that Rodgers clearly trusts will only improve the overall standard.
How much will Celtic have to pay to sign Justin de Haas?
Despite having money to spend this season, Celtic like to be frugal in the transfer market and unearth a bargain.
The £1.2m addition of Benjamin Nygren proves that and according to the report in The Herald, De Haas could be available for £3m.
That was the same fee that was paid for Gustaf Lagerbielke, who is set to join Braga, and around the same for Maik Nawrocki – who has also left.
Celtic have been through plenty of left-footed centre-backs but maybe they’ve finally landed the dream option.
