Believe it or not, we are almost halfway through Celtic’s January transfer window.
That’s despite just one player coming through the door so far, in the form of Julian Araujo, the loan right-back sanctioned by Wilfried Nancy.
After Nancy’s sacking and Martin O’Neill’s second interim appointment, Celtic had to re-evaluate their January options, given their abandoning of the back three experiment.
O’Neill has admitted to discarding Celtic targets so far in recruitment meetings, whilst the Hoops’ two title rivals both get more get bodies through the door.
And one name, who has been linked with a move to Ibrox, has now been revealed to be on Celtic’s radar.

With the 24-year-old seemingly set for a move this winter, the Scottish Sun’s David Friel has now revealed a scouting mission from Celtic on the winger.
He said on Go Ballistic: “The Charleroi winger’s bizarre – because I remember, last season, being told by Belgian colleague that, I think it was Celtic, actually had been watching a game at Charleroi.
“And we were actually trying to figure out who they could be watching, and his name came up. Now, nothing ever came of it, clearly.
“But he was mentioned as a young Ivory Coast winger with real potential. I think, in Belgium, he was viewed as one of the ones who was maybe going to step up.
“So I can understand why clubs like Rangers and Celtic should be looking at guys of that ilk.
He is the fourth Ivorian to be linked with Celtic in this window, after Jocelin Ta Bi, Ibrahim Diabate and Mohamed Bamba.
