Celtic will get a close look at Luke Graham this weekend as the Dundee defender prepares to face the Hoops amid growing transfer interest.
Graham is highly-rated and has been linked with a move away from Dens Park in the summer as the likes of Aberdeen and Rangers are interested.
Steven Pressley was surprised that the Bhoys didn’t try to sign Graham in January but, as the two teams prepare to do battle at Dens Park, Graham has spoken about his future as his live audition for a place in the Hoops team takes place.
The 2026 transfer window is still months away, but what is the number one position Celtic need to improve this summer?📝

Why Sunday’s clash could act as Celtic audition for Dundee defender
Sunday’s meeting offers Celtic a direct opportunity to assess Graham in a competitive setting, facing the exact level of opposition he would encounter regularly if a move did happen.
Performances in these fixtures often carry more weight than isolated scouting reports, particularly when evaluating decision-making under pressure.

Graham’s profile has also drawn comparisons to Premier League talent, with previous comparisons made to Jarrad Branthwaite during his development. That comparison highlights his physical presence and composure, traits that have become increasingly important in modern centre-back roles.
Despite the struggles in front of goal for the Hoops this season, the Bhoys are a considerable step-up in opposition and if Graham can nullify the threats, that bodes well for a future move.
Luke Graham on Celtic interest
The 22-year-old has been a regular in the heart of the Dundee defence that are currently working hard to stay out of the relegation spots and while the interest is flattering, that is his only goal right now.
Late goals are the theme for these two sides, but what will the score be?
“I just block all of that out,” he admitted.
“I don’t really want anything to do with that side of things when I’m mid-season with Dundee.
“All I will be doing is ensuring I focus on my own game.
“It’s nice to get some recognition from the manager, but all I can really do is focus on myself and keep doing as well as I can.”
