Celtic’s transfer business has ramped up over the last few weeks.
As well as adding Ross Doohan last week, Celtic also signed Kieran Tierney as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his squad for the domestic and European campaign next season.
The Celtic manager is also expected to announce the signing of Callum Osmand any day now and with Benjamin Nygren expected to join the Bhoys this week, fans are getting their teeth into plenty of transfer news.
However, there is a transfer rumour going around that Chris Sutton is seriously questioning and it’s whether the move would be right for Celtic and the player.
Chris Sutton ‘doubts’ Celtic will get £15m for Nicolas Kuhn with message to player
Sutton is always vocal on his views about all things Celtic but when it comes to whether or not RB Leipzig will buy Nicolas Kuhn for £15m, the big Englishman was not holding back.
But not only that, Sutton has urged the Celtic winger to seriously think whether this move is right for him.
Sutton wrote in the Daily Record, “I have my doubts Celtic would get £15m for the German this summer, for a start. He struggled at first in Scotland as he struggled having lost weight with those dental problems.
“He was sensational in the first half of the season and looked a certainty to clean up the player of the year awards.
“Yet he did go off the boil a bit following the Bayern Munich game and it does pose questions about his consistency.
“Are teams going to cough up big money on the back of a spectacular six months? They might do, but I’m not so sure.
“Newcastle United were credited with interest back in January but I can’t see him shifting the likes of Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon.
“It just seems like the wrong time to be even considering selling, though. I think Celtic will struggle to get top dollar and yet I believe he will be worth more down the line.
“Kuhn isn’t ready for me. Sometimes you get the feeling a player has reached the natural stage where the next step is inevitable.”

Clearly Kuhn’s performance in Celtic’s win over RB Leipzig has sparked the German club’s interest and it will be interesting to see if Sutton is right and the Parkhead club manage to get £12m more than they paid for the winger 18 months ago.
