Celtic could be edging closer to signing a striker after Fabrizio Romano’s latest update.
The debacle of Celtic’s failed big for Kyogo looks like it has kicked the club into gear as Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana comes into the mix.
Fofana is currently out on loan at Turkish side Fatih Karagümrük S.K and his deal is supposed to end at the end of this season.

However, it seems that the Premier League club are keen to get the Ivorian international striker off the books and Romano has said Celtic have expressed interest on getting a deal done.

Romano released the transfer update this afternoon and whilst Celtic want the 23-year-old, they are not the only club.
Romano said on X, “Chelsea and David Datro Fofana are working on a permanent exit this window.
“Celtic, Royal Antwerp and Derby County all expressed interest over potential deal.
With just over two weeks of the transfer window to go, is Fofana the man Celtic need to lead their forward line for the rest of the season.

Fofano is just 23 years old and has three caps for the Ivory Coast but is yet to break his international duck.
The youngster won the Norwegian league and cup double during his time at Molde before moving to Chelsea in 2022.
After just three first team appearances, Fofana was sent on loan to Union Berlin where he scored two goals in 17 appearances.
A temporary move to Burnley followed where the striker scored four goals in 15 games before heading to Turkey to join Fatih Karagümrük S.K.
