Celtic’s involvement in the Calvin Miller situation has been played down, but the version being pushed does not fully account for what actually happened.
There has been a clear attempt to frame Celtic’s transfer interest as something less than it was. That framing only holds if the key detail is left out.
The discussion has now returned, but it is still missing the one line that changes the entire picture. Once that is introduced, the narrative shifts immediately.
Journalist Rob Grieve addressed the situation directly, stating, “Calvin Miller, Celtic were looking at him, despite what some people at Falkirk would have you believe. And I wonder if that’s something that maybe gets kind of reignited in the summer.”
That removes any ambiguity, Celtic were actively involved and the attempt to downplay it by Falkirk does not hold up.
Would you bring Calvin Miller back to Celtic?
Celtic move for Calvin Miller already confirmed
Celtic made a late push to sign Calvin Miller last summer and that is what establishes the level of intent immediately.
The transfer fell through, but the approach itself is the key point. It shows that Celtic moved beyond loose interest into a live deal.
That directly contradicts any suggestion that Celtic were not seriously pursuing him. The evidence shows a clear and committed move.
Celtic summer narrative does not hold up
The idea that this could be reignited has now been introduced. It is not supported by anything current.
There is no indication of a fresh approach or any change in circumstances. No new evidence has been presented to support that claim.
That leaves a clear split between what is confirmed and what is being suggested. The initial transfer interest from Celtic stands, the follow-up does not.
Celtic’s interest in Calvin Miller is established, but the idea of a return to Parkhead has no real case behind it at this stage.
