Celtic look set to announce their second signing of the summer transfer window as Fulham striker Callum Osmand completes his medical.
Kieran Tierney’s Celtic return has already been confirmed by Brendan Rodgers and now, it looks like the Hoops boss is gearing up to announce his second signing of the summer.
The 19-year-old is said to be edging closer to his big move to Celtic after Mark Hendry delivered this update on X last night.
Hendry reported on Substack, “Celtic’s incoming striker Callum Osmand has agreed his move from Fulham.
“The 19-year-old is poised to become Brendan Rodgers’ second signing of the summer having already snapped up Kieran Tierney on a free transfer after his Arsenal deal expired.
“Welshman Osmand is ready to sign the contract to make him a Hoops player to join Rodgers’ first-team.”
Celtic are yet to replace Kyogo Furuhashi and whilst the capture of Osmand is not the big name the Hoops support wanted, the reaction of the Fulham fans tells you all you need to know about the youngster.

Fulham fans beg Callum Osmand not to join Celtic
Clearly at 19, Osmand has a bit of development still to do before becoming an established first-team striker at Celtic.
But looking at the comments from the Fulham supporters, it’s clear Rodgers has captured a very talented and highly regarded player.
The fans appear gutted as @sssonnyffc added, “Please stay fella.” and @lewisssffc replied, “Stay. Please.”
The messages continue:
One Fulham fan, @ffs_nelson, sarcastically said about his club, “Fulham have absolutely nailed it yet again with Callum Osmand. Absolute pure profit.”
And finally, @FulhamTransfer said, “With my Fulham FC head on, I am disappointed to see Callum Osmand go as he’d shown signs he could break through.
“However at nearly 20 we have to ask the question, if the path isn’t there or are our youngsters just not as good as we think.
“History suggests the prior but Cal is another one we’ll never know now. On a personal note for him Celtic is a huge club with a great opportunity to play a lot of minutes and even in the UCL.
“Will Fulham come to rue this one as they have others in the past?”
Callum Osmand’s impressive all-time scoring record as Celtic move nears
Young Osmand is yet to make a senior appearance for Fulham but his scoring record in the English club’s youth side is very impressive.
- Appearances: 73
- Goals: 43
- Assists: 12
Celtic supporters will remember the likes of Rodgers stealing Moussa Dembele and, of course, Matt O’Riley leaving The Cottagers to go and progress his career at MK Dons before heading to Parkhead in 2022.
If Osmand is as good as the Fulham fans are saying, Rodgers may well have found a wee gem.
