‘He can go’: Celtic tipped to sign ‘really talented’ Aberdeen superstar

Tam McManus has tipped Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic to sign Aberdeen striker, Bojan Miovski.

The 24-year-old has been a consistent performer for Aberdeen since his transfer to the Dons in 2022, scoring 16 goals in 33 Premiership games last season (transfermarkt) and he already has four from nine this term.

As a result, Tam McManus thinks that Bojan Miovski would perform well at a club like Celtic because he feels the ‘clever’ striker is ‘of that level’, as he told PLZ Soccer

Bojan Miovski scored against Celtic at the start of the campaign, but his side fell to a 3-1 defeat to the Treble-winners.

But his best moment came on the last day of the previous campaign when he scored at home to Rangers, as the Dons recorded a 2-0 win over the struggling Ibrox side.

Fast forward to the present and Aberdeen are sitting ninth in the Premiership table, with their star striker still producing a healthy goals record, despite the club’s struggles.

That was touched upon by McManus when backing the North Macedonia star to make the jump up to a team like Celtic.

Bojan Miovski at Celtic

“I think he is a really good player,” said McManus. “A really good striker. Celtic or Rangers. I think he is of that level.

“I think he can go in there and contribute to Celtic and Rangers. I am not trying to sell him. But I think Aberdeen would struggle to hold onto him because he is still scoring goals in a team that is pretty poor, at the minute and inconsistent.

“He gets all types of goals. He can run in behind. He is clever. I think he is a really, really talented player.”

Bojan Miovski and Kyogo Furuhashi

There is no doubt that Kyogo Furuhashi is the main guy at Celtic, with the Japan star recently hitting his 60th goal for the club.

That happened during Celtic’s thumping win at Hearts, with skipper Callum McGregor claiming that he is one of the best he has played alongside.

But Kyogo can’t do it all on his own and it would be great if Rodgers could be able to rotate in a more free manner.

That was proven during the goalless draw at Hibernian over the weekend, with the same team, barring the injured Reo Hatate, playing in the Champions League days before and then looking leggy at Easter Road.

So, a signing such as Bojan Miovski is something the club should consider because depth is needed.
