It looks as though Celtic are making moves on a new goalkeeper this summer.
Following Kasper Schmeichel’s retirement, many would have thought that Viljami Sinisalo would have remained number one, given his strong end to the recent season.
But journalist George Tsarouchas has reported on social media that Celtic have now had ‘two offers rejected’ by Las Palmas for Dinko Horkas’ services.
It also needs to be noted that, alongside the champions of Scotland, Sevilla are also keen on the 27-year-old from Croatia.

Las Palmas want £6-7m for Celtic target Dinko Horkas
From the player’s side, it seems as though he wants to move, although it’s not been specified where.
Greek journalist Tsarouchas has claimed that Horkas simply wants Las Palmas, who are in the second tier of Spanish football, to ‘negotiate for a transfer this summer.’
It has been claimed that the Spanish club want around ‘£6-7 million’ for their number one goalkeeper.
Given that Celtic have had ‘two offers’ rejected, it’s quite clear that the powers that be have put money on the table, which is below that mark.
Viljami Sinisalo is very unlucky
Whether it’s Horkas or Manchester United’s rising star Radek Vitek, who has also been linked with Celtic, it’s pretty clear that the club are looking for a new keeper.
All of this is pretty damning for Sinisalo, and the signs are pretty clear.
There is no way the Hoops will sign another team’s number one, only to put him on the bench at Celtic Park.
Therefore, Sinisalo should count himself unlucky, because he has shown positive signs that he can be trusted to lead the team forward between the sticks.
