Reports linking Hyeongyu Oh with an instant Besiktas exit have been cleared up.
The former Celtic striker has made an excellent start to life in Turkey, scoring eight goals in sixteen as they partially resurrected their season following a poor start.
Oh scored the winner in South Korea’s opening World Cup win against Czechia, though they were ultimately eliminated in the group stage.
Various Premier League clubs have been linked with Oh, with Manchester United and Tottenham reportedly monitoring him.

Hyeongyu Oh to Hull City links ‘wide of the mark’
Reports in Turkey had linked Oh with a move to newly-promoted Hull City, who are expected to spend big this summer.
However, Hull Live have confirmed that they are wide of the mark.

Despite this, there remains uncertainty in Turkey over Oh’s future. Manager Sergen Yalcin, who signed the 25-year-old, has since left the club.
Reports linked Ange Postecoglou with an Oh reunion at Besiktas, but their managerial search ultimately ended with Vincenzo Italiano.
Italiano is reportedly targeting a move for Romelu Lukaku, though they face serious competition from Ajax. Regardless, the word is that the new boss is targeting a marquee striker.
Given how Oh’s value has continued to rise since his move to Turkey, he could be cashed in on after just six months in order to facilitate a move for a bigger name.
He was brought to Glasgow by Postecoglou in 2023, with the then-Celtic boss saying that he and Mark Lawwell had spent hours watching him.
He ultimately never established himself as a starting striker, despite a decent scoring rate of one goal every 110 minutes.
The form of Kyogo Furuhashi was the initial reason for this, though Rodgers ultimately discarded him in favour of Adam Idah.

Hyeongyu Oh on his homesickness at Celtic
Oh recently reflected on his homesickness at Celtic, saying that he listened to a classic country song to help him deal with it.
“When I was at Celtic, there was a song I used to listen to quite often, especially when things got a bit tough.
“That was the song Take Me Home, Country Roads. I listened to a lot.
“It gave me some comfort, and it often made me think about how much I wanted to go home. A lot, back then.
“And here I am, on my first trip to Europe all by myself. But listening to that music has really given me a boost, so I’d love for everyone to hear that song if I ever organise a gathering or make an impact in LA!”
Asked if he still listens to it, Oh said: “I haven’t really felt like listening to it lately.”
