Andy Walker has backed a deadline day exit for Celtic winger, Sead Haksabanovic.

The 24-year-old made his feelings clear after Celtic’s dropped points at home to St Johnstone, with a telling Instagram post after the game – it wasn’t received well by a certain Chris Sutton.

Therefore, with the 2023 summer transfer window set to slam shut on Friday at midnight, it seems as though Sead Haksabanovic could be leaving and Walker thinks that the club will be looking to ‘get rid’ if the player ‘isn’t committed’, as he told Go Radio

It seems as though Haksabanovic has admirers in the English Championship and Greek side, PAOK – a considerable step down from playing for Celtic.

Whilst Haksabanovic showcased promise at Parkhead, he just lacked that extra something and consistency.

Either way, if he does leave, then it’s a shame that it has ended on such a sour note for the player, with Walker sharing his thoughts.

“He seems to be unhappy,” said Walker. “He seems to want to be out of the door. I am sure Celtic would want to get rid of him if he isn’t committed.

“I liked him. I thought he had good ability. I thought he was another that could have improved. He has good skills. I liked the fact that he always went up to a defender and tried to make something happen. Tried to go past players. And he scored a few important goals.”

The mood ahead of Rangers game

Michael Beale’s side got well and truly smashed in their Champions League play-off game, so their mood heading into Sunday isn’t going to be a great one.

Celtic’s is slowly lifting after two very poor performances and a summer window that just didn’t take off like many would have liked.

Either way, there is now less than 12 hours to go before that window slams shut and you would expect those in the Celtic boardroom to be very busy.
