Incoming Celtic signing Luis Palma has reportedly said his goodbyes to Aris FC teammates in Greece as he prepares to make the big move to Scotland.
Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos has stated that Palma is now ready to travel to Glasgow in the next 24 hours to put the finishing touches to his transfer.
It was reported earlier today by Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph that Celtic had agreed a £3.5m fee with Aris for the winger. It’s said that the Bhoys are also in the final stages of agreeing personal terms on a four-year contract.
Chorianopoulos also reports that his wages in Greece were as low as €80,000 per season. While the exact details of the multi-year deal at Celtic are unknown, his Bhoys salary has been reported to be far in excess of that. [Daily Record]
It seems the Scottish champions are about to change the Honduran’s life.
Celtic have been on the hunt for a quality wing option all summer following the exit of Jota to Saudi Arabia.
Still just 23, Palma has potential but has been plying his trade in Europe and will be better suited to immediate first-team action than other recent arrivals.

It’s hoped that the Honduran will be one of three or four signings at Celtic over the coming week with Brendan Rodgers still needing to address other areas of the team.
Everyone will be excited to see the winger in action, a player who also possesses the versatility to play across the front three or even as a supporting attacking midfielder.
Rodgers must be happy with his profile, making it clear he has been working with Head of Recruitment Mark Lawwell all summer on the best fits for his starting eleven.
All that’s left now on this one is the official word from Celtic, so hopefully that comes over the next 72 hours, entering an exciting week for the club.
In other news, Gustaf Lagerbielke makes a positive first Celtic impression behind the scenes at Lennoxtown.
