Celtic’s recruitment is shining once again.
Whether it’s Ange Postecoglou in the dugout or Brendan Rodgers, you can’t deny that, for the most part, Celtic have got a lot of things right in the transfer market.
There have been occasions where patience is needed and no one epitomises that more than the flying winger, Nicolas Kuhn.
It was been well-documented that Kuhn struggled after joining Celtic in January, but a lot of that had to do with off-field issues.
Now that has been addressed, he has settled in, had a pre-season under his belt and is shining bright for Celtic.
Kuhn was the star of the show for Celtic as they beat RB Leipzig in the Champions League in midweek and it could be argued that he has been Brendan Rodgers’ best performer so far this season.
As a result of that, talk about his future at Parkhead emerged, but James McFadden was having none of it.
James McFadden says Nicolas Kuhn ‘won’t be in a rush’ to leave Celtic
Everyone will point towards Celtic hero Matt O’Riley and how the doors opened for him to eventually leave the champions to play in the Premier League.
But McFadden was insistent that Kuhn ‘won’t be in a rush’ to go anywhere as he cited the player moving about quite a lot in his career already.
Before his move to Scotland, the 24-year-old has played in his home country of Germany, as well as Holland and Austria.
And McFadden thinks Kuhn is in the right place and performing on the big stage for Celtic, as he told Open Goal.

“I don’t think he will be in a rush to go anywhere,” said McFadden. “He’s had a few moves, hasn’t he?! He has been this young player with loads of promise and he has finally shown it.
“24 now. It’s a good age. But look at how he is performing. Look at the games that he is performing in. I don’t think he will be in a rush to go.
“But you look across the board, every player in that Celtic team, they were all outstanding (against RB Leipzig). If you can do it at that level then, I know people will go three games ago they didn’t do so well in Dortmund, but the reactions have been quite incredible.”
Kuhn’s stats for Celtic this season
Even though O’Riley left Celtic for Brighton in the summer and the club lost such a pivotal and their best player in the final third, he hasn’t been a miss.
The reason for that is because of Rodgers’ brilliance, the team as a whole, how it is being led by Callum McGregor, but also the brilliance of Kuhn.
The all-action winger has stepped up and taken his game to another level, as well as showing that he is worthy of playing in Europe’s elite competition.
WhoScored has rated Kuhn’s performances in the Champions League at 7.40, with his overall performances being rated at 7.52.
