Jamie Vardy to Celtic? The rumour is still alive.
Since the Leicester City legend left the King Power Stadium at the end of last season, speculation has surrounded Celtic moving in for the striker on a free transfer.
Brendan Rodgers knows Vardy extremely well having managed him at Leicester, and Celtic bring the lure of potential Champions League football.
Rangers have also been linked with Vardy, while Chris Sutton thinks it would be an ‘exciting’ transfer if Celtic were to get a deal done.

Andy Walker says Vardy to Celtic ‘wouldn’t be a problem’
Ex-Celtic striker Andy Walker doesn’t think there would be a problem on Celtic’s end to sign Vardy, and made it clear that nobody knows him better than Rodgers.
Walker told The Go Radio Football Show: “Well you would imagine there wouldn’t be a problem doing a deal at that. He would know the player, his ability, his fitness levels.
“I know he’s 38 but I’m sure you could get another season out of him if he is still really fit, well and sharp. No one would know that better than Brendan Rodgers.
“Whether he is on the list, I’m sure they’ve got strikers they are looking at.”
But Billy Dodds raises two Vardy to Celtic issues
But co-pundit Billy Dodds thinks wages could be a stumbling block for Celtic given he was only a Premier League player a few months ago.
Moreover, the former Rangers coach believes Vardy wouldn’t be guaranteed regular game time at Celtic.
Dodds said: “He would cost a lot in wages, but he wouldn’t cost a lot in transfer fee because he’s a free. It wouldn’t be a daft one, but they’ll probably have other signing targets in the striking position before Vardy.
“The one thing I would add to that, and Andy will probably agree with me, I’ve been reading that he wants to play. I don’t think he’s guaranteed that at Celtic playing week in, week out.
“When you get someone of that experience and he’s not playing… I’m not saying he wouldn’t be happy but he’s already made it clear he wants to go somewhere and play every game before he finishes his career.”
