Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was introduced to the Celtic crowd over the weekend against Dundee in the Scottish Cup.

From an entertainment perspective, Celtic provided the drama, including a stoppage-time equaliser, but produced another drab display in front of their supporters.

Despite that, Celtic still saw off Dundee in extra time, with their new signing watching from the stands, as he will be looking to make his mark against Livingston on Wednesday night in the Premiership.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s move to Celtic has grabbed the attention of the media and players in England, as Jordan Henderson was the latest to express his thoughts.

Jordan Henderson reacts to Celtic signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Just as Henderson walked off the St James’ Park pitch as his Champions League-chasing Brentford side beat Newcastle United on Saturday evening, he expressed his delight at Oxlade-Chamberlain’s latest move.

The duo played alongside each other at Liverpool, winning the Premier League title and the Champions League, as well as representing England together.

And this is what Henderson posted in the comments section of Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Instagram post.

How Oxlade-Chamberlain reacted to Celtic beating Dundee

On the one hand, Oxlade-Chamberlain saw Celtic’s fight against Dundee, and the never-die attitude that saw Martin O’Neill’s men secure their passage into the quarter-finals and a trip to Rangers.

But on the other hand, there was a lack of control from the champions of Scotland, and hopefully, the former Arsenal man will provide that once he gets going.

Either way, this was Oxlade-Chamberlain’s message to the fans once the dust had settled from the Dundee game.

“Hey, Celtic fans,” said Oxlade-Chamberlain. “Great to be in paradise. Love seeing it out there tonight. We left it late, but it was amazing to experience it and see a little glimpse of it. Can’t wait to be out there myself.
