Flavio Nazinho ‘sought after’ by Celtic and others
According to Portuguese outlet Record, Celtic are interested in signing Cercle Brugge and Portugal U21 left-back Flavio Nazinho.
The report adds, however, that Italian giants Roma and Kieran Tierney’s former club Real Sociedad are also in the mix for Nazinho.
The 21-year-old is a Portugal U21 teammate of Celtic midfielder Paulo Bernardo, with the nation reaching the quarter-final stage of the Euros last month.
Who is Flavio Nazinho?
Born in 2003, Nazinho spent the latter stages of his youth career at Braga and Sporting CP, who Celtic play in a friendly on Tuesday night.
He worked his way into the Sporting first-team squad after four years with the B side, but only made 11 appearances between March 2021 and June 2023.
Nazinho was sent out on loan to Belgian club Cercle Brugge for the 2023/24 campaign, before signing for the club permanently last summer for an initial €1m that could rise to €2m.
He’s gone from strength to strength at Cercle Brugge and enjoyed a terrific 2024/25 season by making 39 appearances, scoring two goals and notching eight assists.
Record also report that Sporting CP will be due 15% of any future transfer sale of Nazinho.
