Celtic’s pursuit of Camilo Duran appears to have taken a significant step forward after journalist Ryan McDonald claimed the striker has already agreed personal terms with the club.

The Colombian striker has been on Celtic’s radar for a number of weeks now and it looks like Duran’s move to Glasgow is getting closer.

Journalist Ryan McDonald has delivered an update on Celtic’s pursuit of Duran and it seems that the club’s first summer transfer addition is not too far away.

Camilo Duran ‘agrees terms’ with Celtic

McDonald was giving an update on the rumours surrounding Duran and Celtic when he dropped that the only part of the deal needing concluded is the fee between the Bhoys and Qarabag.

McDonald told Record Celtic podcast, “Celtic need a proven goal scorer and Duran, I think, is obviously the one that fits the bill.

“Again sources in Colombia saying that he has already agreed terms with Celtic. It’s just a case of the clubs thrashing out a deal which is believed to be in the region of 3 million pounds.

“So you know you’d expect Martin O’Neill would hope to get that one tied up pretty quickly and I think he’ll be one of at least a couple of centre forwards that will come into the club.”

The final hurdle in Celtic’s pursuit of Duran

It seems that a deal now, should be fairly easy to conclude if Duran has agreed personal terms with Celtic.

The only problem is that Celtic’s CEO is currently in Ireland for the club’s first pre-season fixture with Shelbourne.

Hopefully, Nicholson has his phone glued to his hand as he would be the man to negotiate on behalf of Celtic, right?

However Celtic get the deal done, let’s hope there are no last-minute hiccups and Martin O’Neill gets the striker he so badly needs heading into next season.
