Celtic have been linked with more than 20 goalkeepers this summer but two names are enduring the rumour mill to emerge as the most credible candidates to place Joe Hart.
Sparta Prague goalkeeper Peter Vindahl Jensen is said to be the number one priority for the Bhoys in the position.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United and Slovakia goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has been consistently linked with a switch to Glasgow over the last month.
Dubravka only has a year left on his contract and despite making 30 appearances for Eddie Howe’s outfit last term is said to be on the way out of St James’ Park.
He’s spent his summer starring at Euro 2024 with his country but his future is due to be sorted out in the coming weeks.

Lubo Moravcik gives thumbs up on Martin Dubravka to Celtic
Former Celtic hero Lubo Moravcik reckons he could be an excellent signing, telling The Sunday Post [07/07 print edition]: “If this is a possibility, I have absolutely no doubts that Martin has the qualities required to play for Celtic. He is in his mid-thirties and has great experience from playing in the English Premier League and for his country.
“I was in Germany at the Euros to support my country and Martin was brilliant. He is tall, makes important saves and is comfortable with right foot and left foot. He makes good judgments on the park and gives the team proper security.
“I also believe Martin would have no problem coping with the pressure of playing for Celtic. We are talking about a highly experienced professional. The chance to play for Celtic against Rangers and in the Champions League would be something that Martin would embrace and accept the challenge.
“If he wants to ask me about what it is like to play for Celtic then I would recommend it to him. I had four brilliant and memorable years at Celtic and it would be lovely to see another Slovakian play for the club.”
Dubravka proves he is still elite at Euro 2024
The goalkeeper had two man-of-the-match calibre performances at the summer tournament against Belgium and Romania before his country eventually went out after extra-time against England.
It showed that, despite being 35, the veteran can still mix it at the highest level. If he did move to Celtic he’d be arriving as a player ready to become the club’s number one.
It remains to be seen what direction Celtic go in with the position. Peter Vindahl Jensen would be a signing that has long-term potential, while Dubravka is much more in the Hart mould of an end-of-career choice. Both strategies are viable – let’s see which one the club goes with.
