Luis Palma has had a tricky season, both at Celtic and out on loan.
After failing to nail down a place in the starting XI in Brendan Rodgers’ side, Palma was sent on loan to Olympiacos in the Greek Super League, where he was a part of the squad that won their first title since 2022.
The Honduras international wasn’t a mainstay in the team either, and the winger scored one goal in 10 appearances – most of which were off the bench.
Therefore it is no surprise to hear that Olympiacos won’t be signing Palma permanently, however, he could still remain in Greece.

Luis Palma wanted by three Greek clubs
It’s unlikely we’ll see Palma play for Celtic again as a summer of change at Parkhead will mean deadwood is shipped and new signings arrive.
Palma won’t be short of offers though, with SportTime in Greece reporting that three clubs in the area are interested in his services.
AEK Athens and Panathinaikos both had the 25-year-old on their shortlist in January and could be tempted to make a move again, as well as PAOK, who are also keen on the winger.
If a move were to come about, it would be Palma’s third spell in Greece having already played for Aris Thessaloniki – the team Celtic signed Palma from.
Luis Palma’s loan move wasn’t a success
When the 25-year-old first moved to Glasgow, he looked like the winger the team had been craving.
We’ve only seen that in patches since December 2023 though, where he has struggled to recapture his form.
The move to Olympiacos was presented as an opportunity to play more games and regain his form but neither of those have happened.
With three years left to run on his Celtic contract, the Bhoys will still fetch some sort of fee for the wide man and Palma will be able to move on and kickstart his career elsewhere.
