Luis Palma receives ‘it’s not true’ transfer statement after Celtic ‘mistreatment’ report

The writing seems to be on the wall for Luis Palma this summer.

The wide player is on loan from Celtic to Olympiacos having been allowed to leave by manager Brendan Rodgers near the end of the January transfer window.

Palma, 25, could seal a potential £3.5million permanent move to the Greek giants if the club chooses to exercise that option but he has MLS interest as well as clubs keeping an eye from La Liga.

One club not interested in his services, though, is Dynamo Kyiv despite recent claims suggesting that Celts had offered Palma to the Ukraine giants ahead of the summer window.

Dynamo Kyiv ‘not offered’ Celtic star Luis Palma

Reports surfaced in the country last week claiming that Palma could be on the way to Kyiv should they wish to pursue his signature for the summer.

Now, though, Dynamo.Kiev.ua have dismissed the notion that Palma was ever put to the club in the first place.

Celtic do want to offload the player, however, as well as another fringe man in the form of Gustaf Lagerbielke who is also out on loan with FC Twente in the Dutch Eredivisie.

And the latest update comes after Palma is reported to have claimed he was “mistreated” by Rodgers.

Palma won’t return to Celtic ‘under any circumstances’

The Honduran international showed what he was worth recently on the international stage but his mindset has not changed beyond what he said recently in terms of leaving Glasgow permanently.

FutbolCentroAmerica said in a report that the playmaker has felt “mistreated” by Rodgers since the Irishman arrived and he doesn’t want a return to Celtic Park “under any circumstances” with a £4million move on the cards depending on negotiation.

Rodgers has his favourites, it must be said, and Palma may not fit into that category.

The manager, as fans know and understand, will only do anything with the club at the forefront of his mind so the thought of “mistreatment” is questionable at best.
