Amid the plea for the champions of Scotland to bring in more attacking quality, Celtic signed Sebastian Tounekti from Hammarby in Sweden.
It’s another typical Celtic signing, in terms of it being low-key, and a player who the supporters are going to have very little knowledge about.

Michael Stewart was sharing his thoughts on Celtic’s transfer business, including what he has been hearing about Tounekti, from those who have watched him in Sweden.
Speaking on the Scottish Football Social Club, Stewart explained that there is ‘concern’ that the 23-year-old might find the pace of the Scottish game ‘too much for him.’
It’s not what the Celtic Park faithful want to hear, because that has been an issue with Hyunjun Yang and, previously, Luis Palma.
“The player from Hammarby,” said Stewart. “I was talking to a couple of guys in Sweden that I know. Not being overly negative about things.
“But they were saying that their concern with Tounekti would be that at Hammarby, obviously, you have the ability to have a couple of bad games, it’s not going to be the end of the world.
“They thought that the pace of the Scottish game would perhaps be a little too much for him, so we will wait and see.”

A Norwegian-born player, Tounekti represents Tunisia on the international stage, and he has also donned the colours of six different clubs in his career.
Those journeys have seen him play at home in Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and now the hotbed of Glasgow in Scotland.
