Former Celtic attacker Mohamed Elyounoussi has found his new club, according to a report.
Danish outlet BT are reporting that Elyounoussi is about to sign for Danish champions FC Copenhagen.
They say that he has already been spotted in Denmark and that the free transfer is about to be concluded.
Elyounoussi was most recently at Southampton, but spent two productive years on loan at Celtic between 2019 and 2021.
There was never any real reports of us being interested in him this summer, but he did speak openly about the club back in June. (Viaplay)
Now it appears that he will be joining a Champions League side, but one that has three qualifying rounds to navigate before they can join us in the group stage.

Elyounoussi is set to become Copenhagen’s fourth signing of the summer, with their first one of particular interest to Celtic supporters.
Jordan Larsson — the son of Hoops legend Henrik — is currently playing his stuff at the Parken Stadium after signing a four-year deal from Schalke. (Copenhagen)

Larsson had been on loan in the Danish capital last season, helping them to a league and cup double. It will be interesting to see how he links up with Elyounoussi.
But we shouldn’t be supporting Copenhagen too much, in Europe anyway. They’re one of the teams we need to see dumped out in Champions League qualifying to have any chance of a pot three spot.
