Tawanda Maswanhise is a name widely being spoken about among Celtic fans.
Ever since Martin O’Neill and Mark Fotheringham were seen at Fir Park to watch Motherwell face Dundee, he has been seen as a Celtic target.
Despite this, sources close to Maswanhise have denied any approach from Celtic. However, the forward is getting more and more difficult to ignore as his goalscoring form continues.
In all competitions for club and country, Maswanhise has now scored in six consecutive matches. He scored a brace in the Steelmen’s 2-0 win at Livingston on Saturday.
The goals dragged him ahead of Benjamin Nygren in the Scottish Premiership goal rankings. Jens Berthel Askou was discussing Maswanhise after the game.

Last week, Askou sent a clear message to Celtic regarding his star forward, saying that he wasn’t for sale.
But he was keen to clarify his stance regarding that, saying that Maswanhise *is* for sale, just with one caveat.

Speaking after the game at Almondvale, Askou was asked if the player’s form could make an exit possible, amid interest from Blackburn.
He said: “No. JT’s (Maswanhise) goals are going to add value to him, the team and the club.
“We have a game on Wednesday (against Dundee) and the business we plan to do doesn’t really involve him.
“I never said he wasn’t for sale, but I said we don’t have a plan to sell him now. That’s the plan we are following.
“Eventually, he is for sale, it’s just not now. He is adding value and he would love to be the Premiership’s top scorer.
“The best opportunity for him to do that is by staying with us until the summer, and then we will see what happens then.”
Blackburn were reportedly considering a bid worth £1.5 million, but you’d imagine that Motherwell are expecting significantly more than that.

Celtic enquired about Kieron Bowie early in January, in a search for a striker which lasted until the 20th of the month.
Bowie has now completed a move to Hellas Verona, reportedly worth up to £7 million, joining a long line of Scottish players moving to Serie A.
Celtic were also linked with Josh Mulligan, Bowie’s ex-teammate at Hibs. They face stiff competition for the 23-year-old, with Premier League clubs keen.
Kilmarnock midfielder David Watson is another SPFL player with reported interest from Celtic and Italy.
