Celtic target Vinnie Leonard has agreed to join Norwich City at the end of the season after holding talks with the Parkhead club in December.
We told how Leonard was speaking to Celtic just before Christmas as Norwich and Genoa showed interest in the young Dundalk defender.

But, unfortunately, Norwich have stolen the march on the Bhoys and signed the teenage sensation as the English Championship announced the move on social media.

Norwich City sign Vinnie Leonard for €400,000 as Celtic miss out
Leonard has agreed to join Norwich City in a €400,000 move after agreeing to move to the Championship club in July this year.
In a post on X, Norwich said, “Norwich City have reached an agreement for Vinnie Leonard to join us from League of Ireland Premier Division side Dundalk in July 2026.
“The move is subject to medical, international clearance and approval from The FA and EFL.”
The Irish Examiner reports that the fee could rise due to significant add ons being inserted into the deal should Leonard be a success at the club.
Where Celtic should strengthen this summer
Celtic do still need to strengthen in the coming summer and while Leonard will go straight into the Canaries’ youth team, there is no doubt he is a talent for the future.
But for Celtic, it’s the first-team that needs more quality to be added with the forward line needing the most work.
Joel Mvuka has dropped out of the picture already at Celtic and Junior Adamu clearly struggled in the win at Kilmarnock.
Whoever comes in as the new Celtic boss this summer needs to make the attacking area of the team a priority to strengthen for next season.
