Cameron Carter-Vickers is one of Celtic’s main men.

The defender has been a standout in Glasgow alongside the likes of Callum McGregor, Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn among plenty others since he arrived in 2022.

That form from his 138 appearances has brought with it interest from clubs around Europe in the big American.

The Celtic defender was reportedly of interest to Galatasaray, Europa League winners Atalanta and it was claimed that Besiktas approached Celts earlier this season to enquire about him.

Premier League clubs were also interested in Carter-Vickers with the likes of West Ham United and Nottingham Forest named among possible suitors.

Bayer Leverkusen are one of many clubs linked with Carter-Vickers

The most recent link has come from Germany with Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen supposedly interested in the 27-year-old former Tottenham defender.

But CCV has been clear in his desire to focus only on Celtic as they look to win another Treble this year under Brendan Rodgers.

Carter-Vickers admits he rarely pays attention to the rumour mill where transfers are concerned.

And he takes everything he does hear with a pinch of salt.

That is why, when asked about the Leverkusen link, the big man refused to be drawn on his own potential interest in an exit.

What Celtic’s Carter-Vickers has said on his Parkhead future amid interest

Albeit he’s flattered that his performances have received this alleged acknowledgement from the German reigning champions.

“For me, not really (taken any notice),” he said on interest.

“Because there’s always gonna be talk in the papers.

“A lot of the stuff you read is not always true and for me I’m here and prepared to play each game the best I can.

“Is it easy to focus? Definitely is.

“The amount of games we’ve had you don’t really have time to think about anything else.

“The game, recovery, rest and repeat.

“That has kind of been the rhythm I’ve been in.

“It’s always nice to know that people are taking notice of your performances but again, you never know how true it is if you read it in the paper or on a website.”
