Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham has sent a goodbye message to the club after he completed his loan to Marseille this week.

The Frenchman said on Twitter: “For Celtic, I will be always thankful to everything you gave me and I wish you all the best for the future.”

Considering he hasn’t joined the Ligue 1 team on a permanent basis, it’s quite an indication he has no intention of returning to Glasgow any time soon.

The French side does have an option to buy the player in the summer.

Ntcham’s move to Marseille has been incredibly controversial. Andre Villas-Boas offered his resignation after slamming the deal in a Tuesday press conference.

The manager was later suspended by the club, who were furious with his comments.

Marseille fans have also uncovered comments from Ntcham stating how much he loves rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

The only thing Ntcham can do now is win people over with performances on the pitch.

He has rarely shown consistency at Celtic but if he can find form in France then I’m sure fans will quickly forget about the circumstances of his arrival.

Well, maybe. The Marseille fans seem like an angry bunch. They make Celtic supporters look calm in comparison.

Good luck with it all Olivier!

In other news, Celtic fans were delighted with David Turnbull’s display vs Kilmarnock tonight.
