This is becoming very difficult and anxious for Celtic.
Yes, two weeks remain before the January transfer window slams shut, but Celtic don’t have a striker through the door, and many of the fans are starting to get nervous.
Everyone has seen how Celtic fans have reacted towards the board this term, but things will go beyond anything anyone could imagine if that striker isn’t signed.
Peter Grant kept it simple for the champions of Scotland, as he pointed towards Evan Ferguson at AS Roma.
The reason why Evan Ferguson would join Celtic is _ _ _ _ _

Evan Ferguson would ‘do a job’ for Celtic
Unfortunately, Celtic fans know too well what Ferguson is capable of because he netted a brace for Roma against the Hoops in the Europa League in December.
But given that the on-loan Brighton striker isn’t playing regularly in Rome, Grant told Go Radio that he could be the man for Martin O’Neill.
Grant explained that Ferguson would ‘do a job’ for Celtic, and how he is a ‘right good player.’
“People criticise and say, ‘people make excuses, it’s a difficult window,’” insisted Grant. “It’s a very difficult window, especially for a number nine. Nobody wants to sell them if they are doing well.
“Ferguson was mentioned; he is somebody who could come in and do a job for Celtic. There is absolutely no doubt. He scored a couple of goals at Parkhead as well.
“I tell you, I think he is a right good player – absolutely (it would ignite the Celtic fans). It’s maybe one that could be hanging out there.”

Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini ‘isn’t having’ Ferguson
Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini has had some interesting things to say about Ferguson since he moved to the club on a loan deal from Brighton.
Troy Deeney has previously criticised Gasperini for questioning Ferguson’s physique, and that was touched upon by Jamie Murphy, who lauded the qualities the Irishman has in his locker.
“He has a great profile,” added Murphy. “Quick. Eye for goal.
“He did really well when he first broke into the Brighton team, and then found it difficult a bit after that.
“But comments from the Roma manager seem as though he isn’t having him at all, even after he scored against Celtic. You could tell, he’s not really having him.”
