Celtic target Mark McKenzie believes he is ready for his big move from Major League Soccer to European football, speaking to Goal this week.
McKenzie has been linked with the Bhoys throughout 2020.
The Daily Record reported as recently as July that the Scottish champions were closely monitoring his progress in America.
Sky Sports also reported earlier this month that Celtic had asked to be kept informed on transfer developments involving the youngster.
Now, showing consistently excellent form with Philadelphia Union, the hype around the 21-year-old is only increasing.

Goal quizzed him about his future this week, and it’s clear that the one-cap international sees himself playing across the Atlantic.
He told the outlet: “The dream, of course, is to play in Europe. That is the ultimate goal. But I’m here at Union at the moment and I’m focused on helping the club in any way I can.
“But if there is an opportunity, I’m ready and I’m prepared to take the next step. I’m confident that I can take such an opportunity with both hands. However, I’m focusing on my game right now and help win a title this year.
“Personally, no (the rumours do not affect me). I try and filter out as much as I can. There is a lot of stuff that goes on in the industry. I can only control my game and everything I can do.
“I can’t control rumours nor am I interested in them. The important thing is performing day in and day out. That is most important. If I do not perform, no opportunity will materialise.”
As stat-trackers WhoScored show, McKenzie has been excellent this season for Union. His average match rating through September is well beyond seven.
My colleague David Walton discussed on 67 Hail Hail earlier this week that he had a great night against Gonzalo Higuain at the weekend.
Celtic aren’t in dire need of a central defender, but with his price tag reported to be potentially below £1m (Daily Record), there’s no reason we should be missing out on his talents.

That’s an absolute bargain in the modern market for an up and coming international who is showing weekly he can perform to a high standard.
With Kristoffer Ajer’s long-term future in doubt and Shane Duffy only in Glasgow for the season right now, we need to think about the long-term future of the position and McKenzie looks to fit the bill.
In other news, Celtic have reignited interest in Niclas Eliasson.
