Celtic are used to facing a fight to keep hold of their best players.
Anyone who shines at Celtic Park soon goes under the spotlight and captures the attention of clubs around Europe.
You only have to look at the likes of Henrik Larsson and Virgil van Dijk in the past to realise that players continue their success.
Having said that, nobody wants the best talents to depart, including Brendan Rodgers, and journalist Michael Gannon has stressed the importance of not letting one star leave.

Celtic told to keep Daizen Maeda at all costs
Daizen Maeda’s form last season has unsurprisingly led to a number of links to different clubs.
Brentford are one side interested in Maeda, who still has two years left on his contract.
Maeda has delayed talks on a new contract for now and even though interest may intensify, Gannon told the Daily Record hotline that they must ignore any offers.
He said: “It’s not as straightforward as having one guy ready to go but you have a list of four or five guys that you could hit the button on.”
“If there is a transfer request, you take it out of the fax machine, grab it and put it in the bin. At this point in time, this guy is absolutely unsellable.
“If a bid came in for Daizen Maeda at this point it’s got to be astronomical, £20m plus.
Celtic can’t afford to lose Daizen Maeda
Even though Maeda is yet to get off the mark for the season, you know exactly what to expect from the forward.
The Hoops have already lost 21 goals from last season after Nicolas Kuhn’s departure to Como and don’t want to risk losing any more.
Sure, the money would be tempting but on some occasions, money can’t buy talent.
Replacing the Japan international would be near-impossible and having sold one key asset already, it’s hard to imagine the Bhoys giving in to the temptation.
