Celtic have been linked with Raheem Sterling since the transfer window closed.
Sterling has been tipped to join the Hoops, where he would reunite with Brendan Rodgers – the man that brought him through the ranks at Liverpool.
The winger has been ostracised by Chelsea after they deemed him surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, sparking speculation about an exit.
A move away never happened before the transfer window shut, and now the story has taken a new turn.

PFA contact Chelsea over Raheem Sterling mistreatment
According to BBC Sport, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) have been in contact to discuss the ongoing treatment of Sterling and teammate Axel Disasi.
Both are training away from the first-team as it stands and will have no game time until January, when the transfer window opens again.
An intervention from the PFA has been staged in order to ensure that the pair are both able to train in an environment that allows them to perform at their best.
FIFA has strict protocols on players who are training away from the first team but assurances have been provided to confirm that the guidelines are being followed.
Celtic face one stumbling block in reuniting Brendan Rodgers with Raheem Sterling
On paper, Celtic seem like the perfect place for Sterling to come and rebuild his career.
Similarly to Scott Sinclair, the 30-year-old is struggling wherever he goes and needs an arm around his shoulder. Under Rodgers, the winger played his best football and would be welcomed with open arms to Glasgow, but one problem remains. His wages.
It is believed that Sterling earns around £300,000-a-week, which is without doubt out of budget for the Hoops.
A deal is therefore unlikely, but never say never.
