Celtic expected a late deadline day bid for Tom Rogic, but the attacking midfielder will remain a part of Neil Lennon’s squad, The Glasgow Times reports.
Rogic almost left the Bhoys earlier in the window after a £4m bid was accepted from an unnamed Qatari side.
However, the Australian could not agree on personal terms.
The Glasgow Times reckons that Celtic expected the same team to return for him yesterday, however, no further bids were received.

That’s fine by me.
I’m a big fan of Rogic and think he still has plenty to offer Celtic this season, despite his fitness and injury issues over the last 18 months.
He came off the bench against St Johnstone on Sunday and showed he can still make an impact.
Nobody is quite like the Wizard of Oz in Lennon’s squad, and his unique attributes offer us something different in the final third.
The fact he rejected a lucrative move to the Middle East also tells me he has a hunger to still play for Celtic.

This is a season we need as many match-winners in and around the team as possible. Just look at Leigh Griffiths’ weekend contribution.
Rogic has the magic feet to dig us out of difficult situations.
With a hectic schedule this term and no winter break, Lennon could end up needing every little advantage we have over our rivals.
In other news, Celtic were priced out of a loan move for Harry Wilson.
