Former Celtic youngster Karamoko Dembele may be being lined up for his next move.

A report from L’Équipe says that the attacker is being courted by English side Blackburn Rovers.

The French outlet say that Blackburn have been “closely monitoring” the winger, and made enquiries about signing him.

They have, however, not yet made an offer to sign him.

Dembele departed Celtic last summer at the end of his contract, moving to Ligue 1 side Brest.

The Pirates finished 14th in the French top-flight last season. Dembele played in 15 of their league matches, but all of his appearances came off the bench and he played a total of just 163 minutes. (Transfer Markt)

The L’Équipe report says that while Brest are not actively looking to sell him this summer, they would not be against a move.

He is contracted at the Brittany club until 2026.

Big things were expected of Dembele coming through the Celtic youth setup. Ever since he made his debut for the under-20s at the remarkable age of just 13, hopes were high for a big future at Celtic Park.

That didn’t materialise but it would still be good to see him make a positive time of it elsewhere.

He is now 20 and could do with finding regular game-time somewhere. The Championship is a demanding league but the 46-game season would perhaps offer him opportunities.

We’ll let you know if any move goes through.
