Celtic will put the finishing touches to a move for defender Liam Scales this weekend, The Irish Examiner reports.
The paper says a number of English teams were keen on his signature, including one cash-rich side in the Premier League.
However, Scales has decided Celtic is the destination for him and will fly in for a medical tomorrow.

The 23-year-old is playing for Shamrock Rovers tonight in the UEFA Conference League, trying to help them into the group stages of the competition.
That European run has held up his move to Glasgow, but he’ll finally be free to make his big move to Scotland.
It’s said by the Examiner that he’ll join for a fee of €600,000. Personal terms have also been agreed with the potential Republic of Ireland international.
Scales can play as a centre-half but has predominately been utilised as a left wing-back for Rovers of late. So it’s yet to be determined how he’ll develop at Celtic given our need in both positions.
Still, it’d be good to have another defensive body in the door to provide competition. As we’ve seen many times this season, including tonight, it’s badly needed.
Ange Postecoglou has consistently said that Celtic are working on a number of deals before the end of the transfer window. I’d expect to see more than Scales in the door before next week’s deadline.
A huge few days awaits us on and off the pitch.
In other news, Ange Postecoglou insists that Celtic are going to get even better.
