Celtic will have a new number one goalkeeper in a matter of days, The Scottish Sun reports.
The paper says that long-term target Vasilis Barkas is set to join the club on a four-year deal after a £4.5m agreement was reached with Greek side AEK Athens.
It’s reported that £900,000 in bonus payments and a 10% sell-on clause have also been included.
Meanwhile, editor-in-chief of Greek outlet Sportime Giannis Chorianopoulos has stated that the international star is about to travel to Scotland to put pen to paper on the contract.

Barkas has been consistently linked with a move to Celtic in recent weeks and we’ve already discussed at length on the site that the Scottish champions had entered negotiations with AEK.
He’s been on the Hoops’ radar since 2018 when he featured in a better-forgotten Champions League qualifier during the Brendan Rodgers era.
Now the persistence of the Celtic recruitment team is about to pay off and we’ll finally have a permanent replacement for Fraser Forster.
It’s excellent timing on the Hoops’ part with the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season just days away from starting.
This appears to be a week of big transfer activity with manager Neil Lennon suggesting that striker Albian Ajeti could be on his way too.
If you’re not excited enough about the return of competitive action at Celtic Park then this double signing will surely tip you over the edge.
With a defender and, arguably, a winger also needed before the transfer window shuts, the champions can’t rest easy even if these two players are announced over the next few days.
Peter Lawwell, Nick Hammond and Lennon have until October to put the finishing touches to the squad that we all hope will become ten-in-a-row winners.
